As a lifelong New Mexican, Bianca has dedicated the last 13 years of her professional career to improving access to healthcare and addressing barriers across the state.  Her mother, a Mexican immigrant, instilled in her the importance of resilience and cultural pride, while her father, the first in his family to graduate from college, demonstrated the power of education in creating opportunities and driving change. These foundational lessons shaped Bianca’s passion for health equity and her unwavering commitment to serving her community.

Bianca earned her B.A. in Mass Communications and Spanish from the University of New Mexico before pursuing her Master’s in Public Health at New Mexico State University.  As a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) student at San Diego State University, Bianca is further refining her expertise to drive systemic change and ensure that underserved populations receive equitable, culturally responsive healthcare. 

Bianca believes that Community Health Workers (CHWs), Doulas, and Lactation Consultants are essential to strengthening the health and well-being of communities. These frontline healthcare workers play a vital role in bridging gaps in access, providing culturally competent care, and supporting families through critical stages of life. By empowering and uplifting these professionals, we can create healthier communities, ensuring that future generations have the resources and support they need to thrive. 

 Above all, Bianca finds her greatest joy in being a proud mother, raising her children with the same values of perseverance, education, and community service that have shaped her own journey. She is committed to building a healthier future—not just for her family, but for all families—so that the next generation grows up in a world where access to healthcare is not a privilege, but a right.
